GFO’s very own locations website recently underwent a facelift. New color schemes, new features, location maps, the works. We are currently beavering away to increase the photo capacity by about 150%, to give a comprehensive selction of what Glasgow has to offer with regard to locations. It will be complete by the end of August. Pictures are being added almost daily and we would love to hear your comments about the new site. Submissions for the 2008 Birds Eye View Film Festival are officially open!

The Birds Eye View Film Festival 2008 will open on March 6th with 6 days of shorts, features, documentaries and special events, panels and parties. All events will be held at leading London film venues. Key events will involve celebrity presenters and guest speakers. 2007 saw the 3rd Birds Eye View Film Festival - the biggest yet, with 6 days of sell out screenings at key London film venues, inspiring Q&A’s, masterclasses, special cross-arts events, parties, networking and exciting training programmes for emerging talent.

Birds Eye View are seeking submissions from women filmmakers from around the globe, to be a part of a showcase programme of innovative and inspirational shorts, features and documentaries. Awards will be presented to Best Short Drama, Best Short Animation, Best Documentary and a special Award for Innovation.
