Tickets are now on sale for the red carpet charity premiere of the new Scottish comedy movie Gamerz - and all proceeds will benefit Scottish Youth Theatre, where writer-director Robbie Fraser and many of the cast and crew began to learn their craft.
The event, which is being run by Pure Magic Films and SYT with generous support from Cineworld, STV, Scottish Screen, the 29 Club and the Glasgow Film Office, will take place on Tuesday 19 February 2008 at Cineworld Renfrew Street in Glasgow.
There will be a reception at 7.30pm in the Cineworld bar followed by the premiere screening of the film - never shown before in Scotland in its current, finished form. Tickets also include entry to the exclusive premiere bash, which is happening from 10pm in the Network Bar at the 29 Club on Royal Exchange Square.
Tickets cost £15 each, and are available only by phoning the Scottish Youth Theatre box office hotline on 0141 552 3988. The film is a teen comedy at certificate 15, so under 18s are welcome! (Entry to The 29 Club, a private venue, is permissible for under 18s as long as they are accompanied by a responsible adult.)
Gamerz will be released in Cineworld Cinemas in Glasgow and Edinburgh from Friday 22 February 2008.
