NESTA Mentoring Scheme launched

NESTA, the National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts has announced the launch of the NESTA Creative Business Mentoring Network.

Headed by Lord David Puttnam, the film producer and Sir Chris Powell, NESTA’s Chairman, the Network will provide high growth companies from the TV production, advertising and digital media sectors with personalised mentoring from the UK’s top creative industry executives.

Twenty mentors will take part in a bid to help grow fledgling creative companies into market leaders of the future. They include Patrick McKenna, Chairman of Ingenious; Moray McLennan, Chief Executive Worldwide of M&C Saatchi; Andrew Zein, Managing Director of Tiger Aspect; Alex Graham, Chief Executive of Wall to Wall and Howard Kiedaisch, Chief Executive of Arts Alliance Media. Grant Thornton and Pact are acting as project delivery partners.

The scheme will run as a pilot for a year and supports NESTA’s commitment, outlined in the Creative Britain report, to encourage targeted business support for the creative industries.

Companies wishing to apply to take part in the scheme should visit Nesta mentoring website
