GFO directs any crew related queries to www.filmbang.com, the directory for crew and facilities in Scotland. However, we may be able to advise which location managers are currently available for work and have worked on projects of a similar nature.

Can GFO assist with finding crew? |
| |
Initial requests for individual crew are generally directed to www.filmbang.com. In cases of larger productions, we can advise on specific crew members and heads of departments with experience on features and large scale TV dramas.

Does GFO administer Lottery funding? |
| |
No - Scottish Screen administers lottery funds for feature films in Scotland. Please visit their website for information on application details and deadlines. www.scottishscreen.com. |

Does GFO offer any funding for productions? |
| |
GFO does not offer any production funding. We offer a Recce Support Fund for locationally mobile features and high budget television productions which are considering filming in Glasgow. Details of this fund can be found here.

If I am employing foreign nationals on a co-production, can GFO help with any tax issues? |

It is advisable to consult the UK Film Council website www.ukfilmcouncil.org.uk for matters such as this as they provide the most relevant and current information. |

Does your office give permissions for filming on Council property? |
| |
No - GFO does not authorise filming on any Council property. Each Council department has an appointed Film Liaison Officer (FLO) to deal specifically with filming requests. GFO will provide contact details for the relevant FLO but only the FLO can grant permission to film.

Does GFO arrange parking requests for film units? |
| |
No - the FLO for Council parking is authorised to grant parking requests.

Can I contact a FLO directly without informing GFO? |
| |
GFO should be informed of all filming activity should any queries from the public arise from your filming activity. For this same reason, it is advised that all productions, no matter how small, planning on filming in Glasgow should inform Strathclyde Police of their activity.

Does GFO keep contact details for private residences in Glasgow? |
| |
Details for some private residences are kept on file but GFO does not disclose this information and always acts as first point of contact with the property owner should a legitimate production enquiry arise.

Can GFO intervene if I am having difficulty with a location? |
| |
GFO can assist if productions are experiencing difficulties with Council owned properties, as Council departments are obliged under the Film Charter to be as accommodating to filming requests as possible. In the case of privately owned businesses or residences, GFO can advise on best practice but cannot enforce any obligations.
