The new psychological thriller Trust Me, starring Jodie Whittaker (Doctor Who, Broadchurch), premieres August 2017 on BBC One.

Jodie Whittaker plays Cath Hardacre, a hardworking and skilled nurse who loses her job for whistle-blowing and is forced to take drastic measures to provide for her daughter. Out of desperation, Cath seizes the opportunity to steal her best friend's identity as a senior doctor and start a new life in Scotland. Burying herself deeper and deeper in the imposter persona, she realises she could get everything she ever wanted - but with her old life threatening to destroy her fragile creation, how far will she go to protect it? Although set in Edinburgh, the production was based and filmed in Glasgow in early 2017.

Trust Me is created and written by Dan Sefton, directed by John Alexander and Amy Neil produced by Emily Feller and executive produced by Nicola Shindler for RED Production Company and Gaynor Holmes for BBC Scotland.
